Nature Lessons and More
  • Electronic Naturalist
Any nature-lover, teacher or student of natural science can participate in the Electronic Naturalist, a free, web-based interactive program of RTPI. Electronic Naturalist features a new natural science lesson every two weeks. Each lesson consists of an illustrated mini-poster (available in two reading levels), links to related websites, additional in-depth information on the topic, an investigation or activity plus access to over 300 archived lessons on a wide range of natural history topics. Best of all, Electronic Naturalist offers registered users (registration is free) the opportunity to "ask a naturalist" questions on-line and receive a personal answer from our expert naturalists. Questions and answers become part of the site’s content for others to learn from as well.
  • Learning About Our Place

Learning About Our Place is a spiral-bound collection of 47 lesson plans that connect learning to nature and the outdoors, correlate to learning standards, and are readily adaptable to a variety of grade and skill levels.
